Do you often feel like you’re incredibly tired or exhausted after an average day at work? We can suffer from tiredness and fatigue, especially if we are working very hard day and night to accomplish our dreams. In the extreme case of complete exhaustion, you might find yourself come to a complete stop for several days before you’re able to do anything again.
As it is said, prevention is better than cure. Here are five simple ways to combat fatigue:
-
Drink a lot of Water
This is really obvious but still not that many people actually manage to drink enough water every day. Water is miraculous; after all our bodies are made up of 70% water. It flushes toxins out of your body, keeps you hydrated, alert and healthy. The amount of water normally recommended to drink per day is around 6-8 glasses full, however, everybody is different and this number may vary. Still, try and drink around 6 glasses of water if you can every day.
-
Snack Frequently
Eat small snacks between your moderate-sized meals.best formula being ‘ short meals in short intervals’. Eating large quantities of food at once causes much of your body’s energy to flow to digestion, which contributes to fatigue. Additionally, your blood sugar goes through spikes and crashes if your body rapidly transitions from “full” to “empty.” Snack on fiber-rich foods such as whole grain cereal with fresh fruit, because they are slower to digest.
-
Sleep Well
Sleeping until well rested every night will ensure that you are back up to 100-percent every morning; it helps you deal with body aches and it allows your joints to rest. Only you can be certain of how much sleep helps you feel “well rested” but most adults feel their best at seven to eight hours of shut-eye per night.
-
Exercise Regularly
Even though exercising too much can be a cause of fatigue in itself, if you don’t exercise at all the same thing can happen. Regular exercise keeps your body healthy and your muscles strong. It can also help relieve stress, which is actually a cause for tiredness and fatigue as well. So in turn by relieving stress, exercise is preventing fatigue. It doesn’t have to be for hours on end every day, just aim for 45 minutes, 3-4 times a week.
- add nutritious and balanced food to your diet
-
Smell the Energy
Scents such as lemon, orange, lime, peppermint, and rosemary can enliven your senses and boost your focus (aromatherapy). Slice into a fresh piece of citrus fruit and inhale deeply or slowly sip a peppermint tea when you’re feeling low on energy.
