Is SehatYab registered with any government health authority?
SehatYab is registered with Punjab Health Commission (PHC) since 2016. You can view the certificate here.
All clinics which provide medical or mental health services must be registered with PHC after passing the PHC audit and survey. (Patients are advised to ensure that PHC or relevant certificate is available and valid with the any clinic they visit for treatment).
Moreover, degrees and experience certificates for all Psychiatrists, psychologists and counsellors are verified and their affiliations with professional bodies are confirmed.
What is special about treatment through SehatYab?
Services at SehatYab are provided by psychiatrists and psychologists in coordination with each other so the most suitable and comprehensive treatment is provided for the patients. In addition, for physical symptoms advise from Medical Specialists is also obtained.
At SehatYab every patient is provided personalized service and treatment as you get in physical clinic. From your first call to your recovery our team works with you to ensure care is properly delivered.
What are benefits and problems of Online consultations?
Online treatment is very suitable for mental well-being treatments as most patients do not need to be physically examined.

How will I communicate with my therapist?
You can get therapy in following ways:
• Text messages including audio notes with your therapist after an initial video session is completed.
• Video call with your therapist.
You can use different ways as you wish, based on your needs, availability, and convenience.
How text messaging works?
You and your therapist will get a dedicated WhatsApp number which will be your private and secure place to communicate. You will write about yourself, the things going on in your life, ask questions and discuss the issues that trouble you. Your therapist will then read your messages, and respond with questions, feedback, insights, and guidance.
You can exchange messages with your therapist at any time, from anywhere and the number is open 24/7 and since messaging is not in real-time it doesn’t require scheduling. Instead, you can choose whenever you want to write or respond to your therapist.
Therapist will respond to all message during his/her duty time. So you can get guidance within 24 hours.
Phone sessions are possible or not?
Phone sessions are a great way to conveniently speak with your therapist by simply using your landline or cell phone, no matter where you are.
To talk with your therapist over the phone, you will need to schedule a time with your therapist through Customer service agent
How does Video Call works?
You can have a video session with your therapist where you see each other and talk with each other in a virtual face-to-face setting.
SehatYab agent will guide you on how to download video conferencing software.
At the scheduled time you will click the consultation link sent to you through email / SMS. Once you connect you will immediately begin video conference with your therapist.
Can mental health issues be resolved with success?
– Depression, anxiety and other common mental health issues are very common and these can be resolved easily, however continuity of treatment is key to the full recovery.
– Mental issues in most situations are a reflection of behaviors and past traumatic incidents. Therapists teach and guide patients how to deal with such behaviors.
– SehatYab has been treating patients since 2016. 98% of patients are satisfied with the treatment received at SehatYab.
How much time is usually required for the mental health treatments?
– Generally, a patient starts feeling better from the very first session and improvements with each new session. Usually, within 8 to 10 weeks most of the patients are fully recovered from their issues.
– During the first session, a patient is assessed for how long and what kind of therapy will be required. Every patient is different and so duration and type of therapy is also different.
What is the difference between psychiatrists and psychologist treating mental health?
1. A Psychiatrist is a specialist medical doctor which primarily looks after the physiological treatments through the prescription of drugs. Whereas a psychologist is trained to treat a patient through mental exercises, guiding to regulate thoughts, etc.
2. If the issue is in initial stage or its intensity is not severe, psychologists will treat through talk therapy and other psychotherapies without needing medications.
3. However, if your condition is severe, going through an immediate crisis then you may need a medicine that a psychiatrist will prescribe. Once your condition is better psychotherapy with a psychologist is usually required to ensure that your core problem is resolved.
4. One of the benefits of a patient of SehatYab is that both psychiatrists and psychologists work together to ensure a comprehensive treatment is available for the patients.
What are the consequences of not getting treatment or delaying the treatment?
1. An early treatment is always better as the sooner you start the issue will be resolved early. It will take less time and money to get treatment.
2. Mental health issues do not get better with time; in fact, they deteriorate with no treatment.
3. Many a time, patients forget what normal life is and they believe their condition is the norm and make their friends and family go through a lot of agony.
If I don’t have mental health issue and I want to improve my mental well-being, like better decision making, self-confidence, communication, etc.
1. The first thing to do is self-care which is following good discipline, such as: daily exercise, a balanced diet, visits to nature parks, etc. and reading about specific issues.
2. If you cannot self-help, the counselor and therapists at SehatYab are always available to help and support you.
How are therapists verified?
Our team ensures that every provider we bring to the platform is fully licensed and in good standing.
Providers who apply are required to provide proper licensure documentation and proof of identity.
We then cross-check their licensure information with their respective licensing authority.
The result of this rigorous process is that only about 60% of the therapists who apply to work are accepted to the platform.
We also show the full licensing information for each provider to make it easy for you to do your own due diligence on your therapist.
How much it costs?
The cost of therapy through SehatYab ranges from PKR 500 to PKR 2000 per session for an individual consultation. If a doctor/therapist recommends multiple sessions, patients may opt to book a suitable package of consultations of 3, 6 and 10 sessions. In a package every third session is billed at 50%.
Text / audio note subscription for a month starts from PKR 750 and goes to 2000 for three months
How is my privacy protected?
We take your privacy and confidentiality seriously.
We have built state-of-the-art technology, operations, and infrastructure to protect your privacy and safeguard the information you provide.

However, here are some things it might help you to know:
• Everything you tell your therapist is confidential.
• We don’t cooperate or work with any insurance companies so nothing needs to be shared, reported or filed with them.
• All the messages between you and your therapist are secured and encrypted.
• Our servers are distributed across multiple Tier 4- AWS Data Centers for optimal security and protection.
• Our browsing encryption system (SSL) follows modern best practices.
Please let your therapist know if you wish for any of your information or records to be released to a third party. Your therapist will send you an authorization form that you will need to fill out and sign before your information can be released.
Can I remain anonymous?
When you sign up we do not ask you for your full name or contact information. You may pick any “nickname” which will identify you in the system. When you decide to start the therapy process, we will ask you for your contact information for emergency situations. This is kept safe in the system so it can be used if your therapist believes that you or someone else might be in danger.
Your therapist may request additional specific information about you as required by their licensing board guidelines. This information is kept strictly confidential and protected by our secure system and patient data protection laws.
